No. There are at most two encoding attempts, and the final verdict uses actual bytes. If it is still over target, prepare a shorter source clip or allow more space. An oversized download is not a confirmed fit.
1 MB is 1,000,000 bytes; 1 MiB is 1,048,576 bytes. MB is the default. Choose MiB when the recipient specifies it. Example targets do not represent a platform’s current upload allowance.
Video is re-encoded as H.264 MP4 and audio as AAC, so this is lossy compression. Audio track counts and duration are checked. Play the result to confirm that speech, small text and important details remain usable.
Keep the original. You can cancel and retry. Long or high-resolution recordings may exceed your device’s available memory; prepare a shorter source clip or use a desktop video tool.
Conversion runs in the current browser; the video file is not uploaded to a conversion server. Keep the original until the recipient has confirmed the copy plays.
