Discord upload limits
Current source-checked limits for Discord. These rows are staged because the official sources did not state policy effective dates.
Short answer
20 MB per file for free users
Discord states that the free limit increased from 10MB to 20MB as of August 2026, with size checked before compression. The source gives a month, not an exact day, so effectiveDate remains null. The 10MB tool target is a conservative editable preset, not the platform cap.
